CONDITION OF YOUR BOAT
A new and more powerful engine will put considerably more stress onto the transom and hull of any boat. Let our professionally trained staff with decades of experience conduct a thorough assessment of your boat’s condition BEFORE you decide a repower is right for you. You may find that a completely new rig could be a more affordable alternative in the long run.
NEW CONTROLS & INSTRUMENTS
It may not be absolutely necessary to change your controls & instruments. However, new throttle & steering controls will only enhance the boating experience a repower will provide. New gauges will insure you remain connected with your engine’s vital signs thus helping you to more safely operate within its limitations.
FUEL SYSTEM
Yamaha recommend that boaters “Replace all of the boat’s fuel hoses with new Coast Guard-approved, ethanol-resistant hoses with every repower, if not more often. This is also the time to make sure you have a 10-micron water-separating fuel filter for each engine.” We have every component required to successfully retrofit your fuel system in stock.
HORSEPOWER
Boats perform at their best with the maximum rated horsepower. You can expect better fuel economy when an engine isn’t struggling to perform. Yamaha Outboards recommends "Maximum rated horsepower, That's the horsepower you should put on your boat during a repower, no matter what you had before."
